Martin Taylor is a publisher and consultant with a special interest in the information technology, internet and digital media markets. His media experience at CEO level spans magazines, books, newspapers, online publishing, exhibitions and conferences in New Zealand and the USA. He is principal of digital publishing consultancy Digital Strategies and founded the Digital Publishing Forum, an initiative to accelerate development of digital publishing in New Zealand (now part of Digital Publishing New Zealand). He has served on the boards of the Publishers Association of New Zealand and the Magazine Publishers Association, and serves as a judge for the New Zealand Magazine Awards and the HiTech Awards. Martin was formerly Managing Director of IDG Communications Limited (now Fairfax Business Media), one of New Zealand's largest magazine publishers, where he undertook a number of international assignments in print and online publishing for the parent company and subsidiaries. IDG New Zealand was a subsidiary of Boston-based International Data Group Inc, the US$2.6B global leader in the field of information technology publishing, events and market research.
